Calendaria

When the Calendaria module is active, Hero Mancer reads your active in-world calendar and adds birthday tools to the character wizard. If Calendaria is not installed, none of this appears and the wizard behaves exactly as it does without it.

Birthday picker on the Start tab

The Start tab gains a Character birthday control. It has three parts:

Birth month, listing every month from your active calendar.
Birth day, sized to the real number of days in the chosen month.
Birth year, which opens on a default before the current in-world date.

The player can change any of the three. The day options update to match the month picked, and a day the calendar does not have cannot be selected.

Next to the picker, a live age reads out from the birthday set. It updates as the birth year changes. Partial years are not shown; the value always rounds down to completed years.

Age field on the Biography tab

The Biography tab has the standard system Age text field. Hero Mancer pre-fills it with the age derived from the birthday, as a bare number. The field is two-way linked to the birth year: typing an age sets the birth year, and changing the birthday updates the age.

The birthday note added on creation

When a character is finished, Hero Mancer writes a birthday note into your calendar. The note:

Is named after the character.
Recurs every year on the chosen month and day.
Uses a cake icon.
Is filed under Calendaria’s built-in birthday preset.

You manage, edit, or remove that note from within Calendaria like any other calendar entry.

When Calendaria is not active

Every part of this integration checks for Calendaria before it does anything. With the module disabled or uninstalled, the birthday picker and the live age are hidden, and no calendar note is written. The rest of the wizard works the same way.
