Calendaria

With Calendaria active, Hero Mancer adds birthday tools to the character wizard and writes character notes to your in-world calendar.

Birthday picker on the Start tab

The Start tab gains a Character Birthday row with month, day, and year fields built from your active calendar. The day list matches the number of days in the selected month and year. The year field starts some years before the current in-world year.

Next to the picker, the character’s age updates as the birthday changes. It counts completed years only.

Tip

The picker has no blank state. Leaving the defaults in place still writes a birthday note on the default date.

Age field on the Biography tab

Hero Mancer fills the Biography tab’s Age field from the birthday. Changing the birthday rewrites the age, and typing an age moves the birth year to match.

The birthday note added on creation

When a character is finished, Hero Mancer adds a birthday note named after the character. It repeats every year on the chosen month and day under Calendaria’s Birthday preset.

Hero Mancer does not update the note after creation. Edit it in Calendaria.

Character history notes

Hero Mancer files a Character History note when a character is created and after each level-up done through Hero Mancer. The note is dated to the current in-world date and records the character’s class and level.

A player without Calendaria’s Add Notes permission gets no birthday note. That player’s history notes are written by a connected GM instead.

The Write Calendar Notes world setting turns off both kinds of note. The birthday picker and age still appear with it off. See Settings.

When Calendaria is not active

Without Calendaria, the birthday picker and live age do not appear and Hero Mancer writes no calendar notes.
