Default Detach
What it does
Section titled “What it does”Foundry’s detach-to-window control moves an application out of the main workspace and into a separate browser window. Default Detach skips the manual click: you check the document types or individual windows you want detached, and every later open lands in a detached window. You edit the list from the Configure dialog, covered in Usage.
Highlights
Section titled “Highlights”Per-user lists
Section titled “Per-user lists”Auto-detach preferences are per-user. The GM’s setup never overrides yours, and your picks never reach other players.
Detach by type or by window
Section titled “Detach by type or by window”The Document Types tab lists document types you can check without opening anything first. Checking a type detaches every window of that type. The Individual Windows tab fills in with the windows you open during the session, plus any windows that ATLAS-aware modules declare up front.
Works with any system
Section titled “Works with any system”Default Detach hooks into Foundry’s ApplicationV2 framework rather than a single game system. Any application Foundry allows you to detach can be pinned, including sheets, compendiums, journal entries, and dialogs from other modules. A few core windows decline to detach and are skipped.
Scriptable
Section titled “Scriptable”Macros and other modules can read and edit your auto-detach lists through the module API. Two hooks fire around every detachment, and one of them can cancel it. See API and Hooks.
Installation
Section titled “Installation”Requires Foundry V14 or later and the 3DS:ATLAS library module, installed alongside it as a dependency. Install through the module manager, or paste this manifest URL:
