Sun Dial

A circular floating clock with an animated sky. You drag the sun to set the time of day.

  • Click the HUD dome (closes when clicking outside the dial)
  • Toolbar button (if enabled in Settings Panel > Module tab > Toolbar Apps)
  • Journal footer button (if enabled)
  • Settings Panel > Sun Dial tab (click the “Open Sun Dial” button)
  • On world load (if “Show Sun Dial on Load” is enabled)
  • The API: CALENDARIA.api.showSunDial()

An animated sky sits inside a circular frame with hour markers around the edge. The sky matches the current time of day: blue sky and sun during the day, stars at night.

A draggable sun handle sits on the dial edge at the current hour. Drag clockwise or counterclockwise to change the time. Time updates as you drag and applies on release.

The time input below the dial shows the current time. Edit it directly to set a specific time.

Drag the bottom-right handle to resize the Sun Dial.

Hovering the Sun Dial reveals control buttons:

Drag the sun handle past midnight for fast multi-day time changes.

  • Each pass over midnight adds a day, or subtracts one when dragging counterclockwise
  • A day-offset indicator above the time input shows the total
  • On release, accumulated days and final time apply together
  • Right-click while dragging to cancel the adjustment
  • Enable it from the context menu or Settings Panel > Sun Dial tab
