Travel Pace Calculator

Convert a distance into how long the trip takes, or a time budget into how far the party can go. Uses the SRD 5e travel paces with mount and vehicle support.

Start here: Installation. After that, The Calculator walks through the dialog and chat output end to end.

Distance → Time answers “how long does this trip take.” Time → Distance answers “how far can the party go in this many days.” Both share the same pace and mount settings. See The Calculator.

Fast (1.33x), Normal (1.0x), and Slow (0.67x) with the standard mechanical effects: Stealth disadvantage at Normal pace, Perception/Survival advantage at Slow pace, and disadvantage on both Perception/Survival and Stealth at Fast pace. See Paces and Speeds.

Pick from any NPC or vehicle in the world, or any vehicle in an installed compendium. Walking mounts use their movement speed; vehicles with mi/hour or km/hour movement use that rate directly. See Mounts and Vehicles.

A single world setting swaps the calculator inputs, chat output, and pace labels between mi/ft and km/m. See Settings.

The chat card includes the pace, the input, the result, an optional pace-effect block, and an @UUID embed for the mount when one is selected.
