3 Death Saves

Module Integrations

Spell Book detects the modules below when active. None of them is required.

When a character buys a spell scroll from a Peddler shop, Spell Book offers to copy the linked spell into that character’s spellbook.

The offer arrives as a chat card whispered to the character’s owners, one card per purchased scroll that resolves to a spell. Nothing is whispered when the buying character has no wizard-enabled class.

Clicking the card’s copy button opens the usual copy confirmation, quoting the gold cost and the copying time. A character with more than one wizard-enabled class is first asked which class learns the spell. The card button switches to a spent state once the spell is in the spellbook.

Whether the copy costs gold is governed by Charge Cost for Scroll Copying on the settings page.

The trade listener runs on the ATLAS primary GM.

With Log Spell Copying to Downtime Note enabled, every paid copy or scroll copy is appended to that day’s downtime note in Calendaria. A copy taken from the free pool is not logged.

Each line names the character, the spell, and how long the copy took. All copies made on the same in-world day share one note.

The note is written by the ATLAS primary GM, so a copy made by a player without journal permission is still logged.

The Spell Book button is injected into the Tidy 5e character sheet, on both the classic and the Quadrone layout. It appears only on a character with a spellcasting class.

The Quadrone group sheet gets a Party Coordinator button in its header actions, shown when the group holds at least one spellcaster. See Party Coordinator.

When chris-premades is active, a Cauldron of Plentiful Resources Compatibility world setting appears on the settings page. With it enabled, Spell Book asks Cauldron of Plentiful Resources to re-apply its automation to the actor whenever prepared spells change.
