epic-rolls-5e posts a pass/fail recap card as a separate chat message after a d20 test. Tenacity treats the recap as the roll card.
Earning and prompting
Section titled “Earning and prompting”A failure recap grants a Mote to the rolling actor under the Failure Detection and NPC Support settings. See Earning Tenacity.
With Automatically Prompt on D20 Test on, a failure recap also opens the Spend dialog for each user who owns the rolling actor, when the actor has Motes to spend. That can include the GM.
Spending
Section titled “Spending”The recap shows a Spend button for the actor’s owner, plus the raised, rerolled, and earned pills. The Spend dialog reads the DC from the recap’s text when the card shows one.
A raise updates the recap’s total. When the new total reaches the DC, the recap’s result switches from failure to success. A reroll updates the total and can switch the result either way. A raise that stays short of the DC follows the same refund rules as any other card. See Refunds and Failed Raises.
Lock on New Roll and Revoke Mote on Flip do not apply to recap cards. Recaps also get no GM grant or DC reveal buttons.
Pairing
Section titled “Pairing”Tenacity pairs each recap with the roll message Epic Rolls posts just before it. It only looks at the last few messages from the same user, posted within seconds of the recap. An unpaired recap gets no Spend button and grants no Mote.
