Hero Mancer 2

A guided character creator and level-up tool for D&D 5e. Pick your species, class, and background, set ability scores, choose starting equipment, and resolve advancements in one window.

Start at Installation to add the module and turn it on in your world. Then walk through the Quick start to build a character from open to finish.

The creation wizard moves through eight tabs: Start, Identity, Abilities, Hit Points, Equipment, Biography, Advancements, and Finalize. Identity splits into Background, Species, Class, and Subclass sub-tabs. The sidebar holds a live preview of the character. A tab carries a badge counting the choices still outstanding.

Generate ability scores with Standard Array, Point Buy, Manual Formula, or Manual Entry.

Hit points are taken as an average, as the maximum, or as a manual roll.

A character takes the equipment its class and background grant, or takes starting gold instead. Gold is spent in the shop, where the player searches and sorts a catalogue and fills a cart before finalizing.

Class, species, and background advancements resolve in one place. The player picks skills, languages, and tools, then chooses between an Ability Score Improvement and a feat. The feat browser lists every feat, with an optional filter for the ones the character qualifies for.

The Background picker carries a Custom Background option. It opens a builder for ability scores, skills, tools, languages, feats, and starting gold. The finished background is written to a world compendium.

Randomize fills a new character in one pass. It sets the name, the identity picks, the ability scores, and the hit points.

When you grant a level-up, a glowing Level Up button appears on the player’s sheet. The player levels up an existing class or multiclasses into a new one. The preview shows the hit points gained, the features granted, and whether spellcasting progresses.

Require approval before player characters are created. Submitted characters wait in a queue, where you approve, reject with a reason, or edit before approving.

Hero Mancer extends creation when sibling modules are active. Integrations covers what each one adds.

Module options are gathered into one settings panel, opened from the module settings menu. The panel is GM only.
