Weekly Almanac
Calendaria publishes a journal page for each in-world week. Players with observer access read it from the Journal sidebar. The toggle sits on the Chronicle tab of the settings panel; see Settings.
The journal
Section titled “The journal”The first publish creates a journal named Weekly Almanac, with observer permission for every player. Only the primary GM publishes, so one page is written however many GMs are connected. Each page is titled for the first day of the week it covers.
A page is written on the first day change that lands in a week other than the one last published. Switch the toggle on mid-week and the current week publishes at the next day change. A single jump across several weeks writes one page, for the week it lands in.
Only the last published week is remembered. Rewind the calendar into an earlier week and a second page is written for a week that already has one.
What a page contains
Section titled “What a page contains”The Week Past lists one row per day of the previous week. Each row carries that day’s recorded weather and links to the notes scheduled on it.
Moons lists a row for each visible moon that reaches the midpoint of a phase during the coming week. The section is omitted when no moon reaches a midpoint. See Moon Phases.
The Week Ahead lists one row per day of the coming week, and each row carries the forecast and the notes already scheduled.
Weather in both day sections is read for the active scene’s climate zone. A world running several zones gets an almanac for whichever zone was active when the page was written.
The forecast reaches only as far ahead as the forecast length setting allows. On a longer week, the trailing rows list their notes without weather.
The forecast is captured as players see it, with accuracy variance applied and no time-of-day breakdown. That capture is frozen at publish time. See Weather System.
Note links stay live. Rename or reschedule a note after publishing and the row resolves against current data when a reader opens the page. Links also resolve against the reader’s own permissions, so a player sees only the notes they can observe.
A link at the foot of each page opens the Chronicle locked to that week.
