The module works on any system. On a supported system, token budgets can be read from actor speed automatically. Other systems fall back to a manual cap.

Install

Caution

Mindful Encounters is a premium module, distributed only through Patreon. There is no manual install, no public manifest URL, and no Forge mirror.

Step 1: Subscribe on Patreon

Subscribe at https://www.patreon.com/c/3deathsaves to a tier that includes Mindful Encounters.

Step 2: Link Foundry to Patreon

Visit https://foundryvtt.com/me/account and connect your Foundry account to Patreon. Once the connection verifies, Mindful Encounters shows up in your entitled module list.

Step 3: Install from inside Foundry

1. Open Foundry’s Setup screen.
2. Go to Add-on Modules.
3. Click Install Module.
4. Search for “Mindful Encounters”.
5. Click Install.

Enable it in your world under Manage Modules.

Open the panel

Activate a scene, open the Token scene controls, and click Mindful Encounters. The party panel opens.

Enable budgeted movement

Budgeted movement is per scene. In the panel, click the dungeon toggle to switch the scene to Enabled. While enabled, owned tokens are held to their budget when they move.

Each scene tracks its own state. Enabling the module on one scene leaves every other scene untouched.

The turn cycle

1. Tokens move on the canvas, up to their budget.
2. Each owner marks their token Done from the panel or the token HUD.
3. When every included token is Done, the world clock advances one dungeon turn, budgets reset, and a chat message posts.

The GM controls which tokens are included, sets caps, and can advance or reset the turn at any time. See The party panel and turns for the full walkthrough.
