Mindful Encounters

Run dungeon exploration in budgeted turns instead of initiative. Every token gets a movement budget and moves until it runs out, then marks Done. When everyone is Done the world clock advances one dungeon turn and the budgets reset. Go past the budget and the move is cancelled or stopped at the line, your choice.

Start at Getting started for installation and enabling budgeted movement on a scene.

One panel shows every participating token, its budget, and whether it is Done. Tokens move, players mark Done, and the clock advances when the table is ready. See The party panel and turns.

Set a flat cap, read each actor’s speed from the system, or scale speed by a multiplier. Caps can also be set per token. See Movement and enforcement.

Pick how an over-budget move is handled. Veto cancels it. Clamp stops the token at the budget line and colours the drag ruler as you go. See Movement and enforcement.

Switch a scene to a single shared party budget for cross-country travel. See Overland mode.

Mindful Encounters exposes an API, hooks, and a speed-adapter interface. See Developers.
